European Latin Dance Championship – Now Back In Aarhus

By Adriana Alcina

Are you a fan of Latin music? Do you enjoy watching professional dance performances? If you answered yes to either of these questions, make room on your calendar for the European Latin Dance Championship on 28 March 2015. For the second year in a row, this exciting event takes place at the NRGi Park Arena in Aarhus and is organised by the World Dance Sport Federation (WDSF).

Over the past few years, Aarhus has hosted various international dancing events. This year’s European Latin tournament is attracting more than 100 dance couples, who will display their sensual Latin body moves, including the Danish Latin dance champions Umberto Gaudino and Louise Heise. At the same time, Danish and foreign youngsters under the age of 21 will have the opportunity to participate in the Latin U21 tournament, while seniors can enter the simultaneous ballroom dancing competition.

Ticket prices range from DKK 195 to 315 and can be purchased through this link: http://www.billetnet.dk/event/em-latin-2015-billetter/391369

Combine a weekend in Aarhus going to the Latin Dance Championship with visiting the Moesgaard Museum (MOMU). The museum  and its research center moved into new buildings in October 2014. Here you will find everything you ever wanted to know about Vikings and you can easily spend the day both inside and out – the roof of the museum is a giant terrace, offering a magnificent view.
