New time-schedule for the S-lines as of 10 December 2018 – valid through 2019

The many S-lines are vital to citizens in the greater Copenhagen area, everyday more than 350,000 passengers use an S-line to commute. Once a year the time-table is adjusted.

DSB informs that on 10 December 2018 the new time-schedule (valid from this date and through 2019) for the Copenhagen S-lines comes into force.

There are some changes and minor adjustments to the existing time-schedule, so users are encouraged to check on rejseplanen.dk, which is updated with the changes, to make sure their train leaves at the time they expect.

Also there are changes to the airport train’s evening timetable as it will be running with 20 minute intervals from Sunday to Thursdays from Copenhagen Mains Station to the airport.

DSB informs that on the following S-lines, A, B, Bx, E and H there are also changes concerning the stations at which the S-line stops:

Line A: Hillerød – Hundige/Solrød Strand
The new A line deserves the stations between Hillerød and Hundige/Solrød Strand. From the spring 2019 the A line will no longer stop at Jægersborg Station. Also during the spring larger track renovation works will mean that a train change will be necessary at Lyngby Station ( information to follow).

Line B: Farum – Høje Taastrup
Line B now runs from Farum to Høje Taastrup

Line Bx: Farum – Høje Taastrup
The rush hour line Bx from Farum to Høje Taastrup will again stop at Emdrup, Dyssegård, Kildebakke and Skovbrynet
Bx will no longer stop between Glostrup and Danshøj stations (ie at Hvidovre, Rødovre, or Brondbyøster), to make for a shorter journey for those travelling longer distances.

Line E: Holte – Køge
Line E’s new end stop will be Holte instead of Hillerød

The new line E will not stop any more at Friheden Station – here line A will stop unchanged every 10 minutes and later in the summer 2019 Line E will stop at he new Køge Nord Station.

Also during the spring larger track renovation works will mean that a train change will be necessary at Lyngby Station (information to follow).

Line H: Frederikssund – Østerport
The fast S -line H from Frederikssund to Østerport will no longer stop at Husum – line C  will continue to stop here every 10 minutes

DSB also informs that the popular airport train, Kystbanen, will have a changed time-schedule during the evenings (from 22:00) as of 10 December 2018.

From Sunday to Thursday the time-schedule between Copenhagen Main Station to Copenhagen Airport/ Kastrup will run with 20 minute intervals from 22:00.

There will be no changes on Friday and Saturday nights – here it often runs with 10 minute intervals.
