Major traffic disruption on the E20 Øresund Motorway at Copenhagen Airport from 20 0ctober until end of November means that those travelling by car to the airport need to take another exit than the usual one. Also expect queues and longer travelling times particularly during rush hour.
The reason is crane work related to the expansion of Copenhagen Airport Station which means that the E20 carriageway in the direction of Sweden will be temporarily closed. Instead, traffic will be two-way on two lanes over 1,500 meters near Copenhagen Airport.
If you are going to Sweden, no worries you can continue into the tunnel and onto the Øresund bridge.

The speed limit on the motorway at Copenhagen Airport will be reduced and the last exit (exit 16) to the airport from Denmark on the E20 (direction towards Sweden) will be closed. If you are going to Copenhagen airport by car, remember to take exit 17!
During rush hour in particular the work may cause queues from October 20 until the end of November. Expect longer travelling times and disruptions during this period.

Useful advice
Follow road signs carefully.
Expect longer travel times.
Drive cautiously and keep a safe distance.
Missed the last exit to Kastrup? Do not turn around on the road. Instead continue to the toll station in Sweden and contact the staff there. They can assist with a free turn-around immediately.
It is extremely important not to attempt a U-turn or drive against traffic as this poses a safety risk.
