Airport Metro from Femøren to Copenhagen Airport Closed on 29 and 30 October

If you are planning on travelling this week via Copenhagen Airport and are used to just take the metro, the easiest and fastest way to get there, you are in for a challenge.

Due to the extension of the Copenhagen Airport Train Station (already affecting the motorway exit at the airport as described in our article here), the metro station at the airport will be closed and the metro will not run all the way to and from the airport station.

The period will run from 29 October until Thursday 30 October, starting on Wednesday morning at 08.30 and lasting until Thursday at 16.30.

You can still reach the airport but instead of taking the metro all the way you will have to exit at Femøren Station and change to a “train” bus which will take you to the airport and vice versa from the airport to Femøren station also by bus.

Expect longer travelling times and some hassle with suitcases and anxious travellers on the busses.

The closure only affects the metro, regional and intercity train will run as usual.
