Huge show on Kongens Nytorv in Copenhagen on Friday Evening 12 January

Experience Danish artists of all kinds live at the “Thank You Queen Margrethe Show”.

Hosted jointly by DR and TV2 on Kongens Nytorv in Copenhagen artisans and sound technicians have been working for several days to set up the stage in front of the royal theatre, Det Kongelige Teater.

The idea being to enable as many as possible to enjoy the show live and for free.

The location may have been chosen because the old building has for many years been one of the Danish Queen’s favourite theatres, here she has enjoyed many performances and hosted several official events as well.

Warm-up prior to the musical show starts at 16:00 – 18:30 with stories, interviews, and anecdotes about the Queen’s 52-year reign.

At 19:00 the musical performances start with several different artforms performing amongst other The Royal Ballet and many Danish and internationally known musicians will entertain as well. The line-up includes Mads Langer, Scarlet Pleasure, Anne Linnet, Sanne Salomonsen, Lis Sørensen as well as Caroline Henderson, Mads Langer and Søs Fenger.
