As borders start reopening and air traffic slowly resumes, the Scandinavian Airline informs in a press release that is has decided to make face masks mandatory for all passengers from the age of six on all SAS flights from 18 May until 31 August.
It will also implement new boarding restrictions to ensure distance is maintained while boarding, there will be no food service on board, no magazines, pillows, or blankets available on flights and only one piece of hand luggage will be accepted.
These new measures are all taken to reduce risk of spread amongst passengers.
When more flights will be available out of Copenhagen will depend on the upheaval of border restrictions, at present flights are maintained mainly within Scandinavia.
At present there is no information as to whether SAS will provide the face masks or if passengers must bring their own.
