Normally the old steam train runs for Christmas transporting families to cut down their Christmas tree, however, for some years now a new special Halloween treat is the short ride from the small town of Græsted to the seaside resort Gilleleje.
As the event is a dark night ride on Saturday 30 October, and there will be scary guests greeting you on the way – stay vigilant.
Children in disguise ride for free – all others pay DKK 50. There are candy bags with treats for the children (until the stock runs out).

Train Rides start at 16:00 and last until around 20:30, for instance from Græsted at 15:52, 16:52,17:52 and 19:52
At the station in Græsted you can buy tea/coffee and cake in the waiting room – and children can buy and decorate a pumpkin.
Those who buy a pumpkin participate in a lottery with great prizes. This year it is possible to visit the dark and scary cellar under the train station, rumour has it that scary creatures lurk around the corners there!
Bring warm clothes, blankets and pillows as there is no heating either in the waiting room or in the trains!
You can pay with MobilePay, cash or Dankort at the station. If you just want to have a look at the old trains – entrance is free – only the ride requires a ticket.
Adults DKK 50, two children ride free with an adult if they are in disguise.
