Both PCR and Antigen tests accepted
As the new requirement for a negative COVID-19 test will start to be implemented at the Danish borders, good news is that the “quick” tests are also accepted.

The Danish Police had announced that leniency would be applied during the first week of the new requirement to present a negative COVID-19 test for residents from high-risk countries/regions within the EU and the Schengen area as well as the United Kingdom.
This timeframe has now run out and the new restriction will be fully implemented, meaning that those arriving without a negative COVID-19 test can expect to be refused entry at the Danish borders.
The good news is that the Danish Police have updated their information page with more information concerning the kind of COVID-19 test required.
New is that the border control will accept both a negative PCR test and a negative antigen test (the so-called quick test).

The police say that:
“At this point in time, no specific type of COVID-19 test is required. The test must show whether a person is infected with COVID-19. This means that both PCR tests and antigen tests are accepted in connection with entry into Denmark whereas antibody tests do not meet the requirement. The person entering Denmark will be strongly encouraged to take a PCR test after entry.
The test must not be older than 72 hours, which means that for a COVID-19 test made at 16:00 on a Tuesday, the result must have been given and entry into Denmark must take place by the Friday at 16:00. Entry after 16:00 on the Friday to Denmark would no longer be possible with the test result.”
The police specify that the test result must be presented in one of the following languages:
The Scandinavian languages
German
English
French
Spanish
Italian

The police inform that the negative test documentation must contain the following information:
The name of the tested person
The time(date and hour/time of day) of the test
The name of the issuer of the certificate must appear clearly on the certificate.
The test must not be inconclusive (inconclusive means that the test did not provide a clear result or that the analysis was void).
The new regulation will be applied after this first period of leniency and the Danish police will refuse entry if there is any doubt about the validity of test certificate.

The requirement does not apply to persons resident in the border regions (Norway, Schleswig-Holstein, Scania, Halland or Blekinge). Nor does the requirement apply to persons who enter Denmark in connection with the transportation of freight.
For Danish nationals and other foreign nationals with residence in Denmark the Danish police specifiy on their information website that :
“Danish nationals and persons resident in Denmark can enter Denmark regardless of the intended purpose of their entry and without presenting proof of a negative COVID-19 test.
Also, persons resident in Denmark (Danish nationals and foreigners), who travel abroad are strongly advised to follow the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ travel advice and potential advice on self-isolation after returning from travel.”
