FOOD FAIR and Fashionistas’ this weekend in red light district of Copenhagen
Mad&glæde is the name of the food festival sponsored by Irma – the North Zealand based grocery chain known for quality products and higher prices – compared with the discounters’. It takes place at Øksnehallen – located on Halmtorvet in an old food hall in Copenhagen’s (former)red light district.

The food fair is designed to inspire consumers, so there will be plenty of tasting options at the more than 90 stands (Irma’s suppliers) you can visit in the food hall. A range of activities with famous Danish food people, James Price(renowned TV cook), Mette Blomsterberg (pastry chef – and also TV star) to name just a few, have been organised to allow for what they call,åndelig føde, food for the mind and soul. You can find the whole program here https://irma.dk/om-irma/madglaede-2015/program-og-aktiviteter
GoCook for kids
For families there is a great children’s area, the GoCook for kids, where children can make their own pizza, chop and fil their own noodle box. Live on the GoCook stage you can experience first hand what takes place at the butchers, when Irma’s butcher demonstrates how he cuts out the different parts of a pig, what their names are and how they are used.
