In a press release, the Norwegian Foreign Ministry updated its guidelines for travel to and from Denmark and added the Copenhagen area, the region called Region Hovedstaden, to the two regions already subject to travel restrictions.
The restrictions for residents from Region Hovedstaden will be put in place starting from the 22 August.
This means that residents from Region Midtjylland, Region Sjælland and Region Hovedstaden can no longer enter Norway and Norwegians are asked to refrain from visiting these three Danish regions.
Should they do so, they will be subject to self-isolate upon return to Norway.

The Danish Foreign Office does advise against travel to Norway for Danish residents but reminds citizens from the two regions who may enter Norway to remember to bring their yellow health insurance card to be able to provide proof of residence in a region in Denmark which is not under entry restrictions.
