The updated forecast from DMI concerning the risk of heavy rain – more than 24 mm to 25 mm of rain in six hours now includes Copenhagen and all of Zealand and it seems that Jutland ( at risk yesterday) will go free. It will rain all over Denmark today.

The updated warning – which also includes thunderstorms – is for: Large parts of Funen mainly the eastern parts, all of Zealand including the capital city, and the western parts of Lolland. It runs until midnight tonight for  Zealand and until 20:00 for Funen.

The risk of heavy rain makes driving an issue as there is a risk of aqua planning,  and for house owners the risk of water in their cellars.

After a wet Thursday and cooler Friday to Saturday, the good news is that a couple of high pressure systems will build up and give us a few weeks of warmer weather, with sun, and up to 23 to 25 degrees C. So the beginning of September should have more sun and warmth than the last weeks of August had.
