The UN Secretary-General visits Denmark to take part in the C40 Global Mayor Summit Meeting taking place in Copenhagen, and during his visit here, he will participate in meetings with the Danish Government and the Danish Parliament.

Mette Frederiksen says in a press release that she is looking forward to his visit in Denmark because:

“An efficient and well-functioning UN is key when we together must handle the global challenges the world faces. This is amongst other valid as far as climate change is concerned where Denmark wants to be a clear world leader, and it is also important in relation to the work involved with developing a more just and humane asylum system, which can help refugees locally and closer to the areas of conflict.

The UN Secretary-General will also visit the UN city in Copenhagen’s Nordhavn district together with the Danish Prime Minister.
